17th European Short Course on
“Principles and Applications of Time-resolved Fluorescence Spectroscopy”
November 4-7, 2019 in Berlin, Germany
This course was held in cooperation with Prof. J.R. Lakowicz from the Center for Fluorescence Spectroscopy & the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore, Maryland, USA
The 17th “European Short Course on Time-resolved Fluorescence Spectroscopy” was held by PicoQuant in Berlin from November 4-7, 2019. More than 40 participants from all over the world greatly appreciated the inspiring lectures by Prof. Joseph R. Lakowicz from the Center of Fluorescence Spectroscopy (CFS, Baltimore, USA), Prof. Zygmunt “Karol” Gryczynski from the Texas Christian University (Texas, USA), and Prof. Nikolai Tkachenko from the Tampere University (Finland). The course program was complemented by practical sessions, a welcoming reception as well as a dinner. The latter two social events gave attendees the opportunity for discussing and networking in an informal atmosphere.
The following companies offered hands-on experiments during the course:
- Rainer Erdmann
Managing Director of the R&D company PicoQuant GmbH and specialist in ultrasensitive fluorescence analysis
- Evangelos Sisamakis
Senior Scientist at PicoQuant GmbH and specialist in time-resolved fluorescence microscopy applications and instrumentation
- Matthias Patting
Senior Scientist at PicoQuant GmbH and specialist in software design for Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) instrumentation
- Michael Wahl
Senior Scientist at PicoQuant GmbH and specialist in instrumentation for Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC)
The time schedule is still available for download as a pdf document: Time schedule 2019
