Evangelos Sisamakis studied Engineering Physics in NTUA in Greece and then completed a Master in Biological Physics in KTH, Sweden. He obtained his PhD at KTH in 2012 at the group of Experimental Biomolecular Physics of Prof. Jerker Widengren in close collaboration with the group of Physical Chemistry of Claus Seidel in HHU, Germany. During his PhD he designed and built various microscopes and he specialized in using FRET in multiple studies using FCS, FLIM and multi-parameter fluorescence detection.
Evangelos joined PicoQuant in 2013 starting as senior scientist in the Support Group and then moved to Product Management in early 2020. Currently his tasks are centered on delivering value to our customers, ensuring both user and business success. He is responsible for overseeing the microscopy portfolio in life sciences and he remains passionate about technology and excited about the development of innovative and impactful products.
