16th European Short Course on Time-resolved Fluorescence Spectroscopy

Course held by PicoQuant and the Center of Fluorescence Spectroscopy offers comprehensive introduction to this subject

In collaboration with Joseph R. Lakowicz from the Center of Fluorescence Spectroscopy (CFS) in Baltimore (USA), PicoQuant organizes this annual course on the “Principles and Applications of Time-resolved Fluorescence. The aim of the 4 day event is to provide an in-depth introduction into fluorescence spectroscopy and its applications to scientific fields like life and materials science. This year, the course will be held from November 5 to 8, 2018 in Berlin, the capital city of Germany.

PicoQuant's 1st International Symposium on “Single Photon based Quantum Technologies”, held from May 30 - June 1, 2018, was considered to be a highly inspiring event by all participants. The three day symposium brought together top researchers from various areas of quantum technologies and allowed attending scientists to report on and share their latest discoveries in single-photon detectors and sources, metrology and sensing, correlations and entanglement, communication and QKD, information processing, as well as integrated photonic quantum circuits.

MultiHarp 150 – new generation of timing electronics

Record-breaking multi-channel event timer for quantum optical applications

As the world market leader in TCSPC timing electronics, PicoQuant is proud to announce the MultiHarp 150, its newest generation of bench-top event timers with USB 3.0 interface. Its outstanding data throughput allows to fully exploit the count rate limits of time-resolved single photon experiments. With 4 or 8 detector channels and a common sync input, the MultiHarp 150 is ideally suited for photon coincidence measurements in quantum optics. It is world's first commercial event timer on the market, which is prepared to be used in a White Rabbit timing network. This feature allows two modules to be synchronized over ranges as high as tens of kilometers, making it the ideal time tagger for long distance quantum entanglement experiments.

Formal opening of PicoQuant’s Application Center in China

ETSC Technologies Co. Ltd and PicoQuant open up a show-room for time-resolved fluorescence test measurements

On 26th April, PicoQuant and ETSC Technologies celebrated the formal opening of PicoQuant Application Center China in Wuhan Future City at the heart of China’s Optical Valley. The new Application Center will be serving potential customers from all over China, providing them with the opportunity to perform test measurements with their own samples on PicoQuant’s time-resolved fluorescence spectrometers and microscopes. The center starts out equipped with the fully automated, high-end and modular FluoTime 300 spectrometer featuring most currently available accessories. In the near future the MicroTime 200 - time-resolved, single molecule sensitive confocal fluorescence microscopy platform will also be available for customer test measurements.

Formal opening of PicoQuant’s Application Center in China

New microscope installed at the University of Leeds

PicoQuant teamed up with JPK Instruments to provide a highly sensitive tool for a wide range of life science applications

In a joint effort by PicoQuant and JPK Instruments, a highly versatile microscope which combines Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) with Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) has been installed at the University of Leeds. This integrated solution enables researchers to obtain structural information from biological samples with resolutions down to the molecular level while recording the fluorescence behavior of a wide variety of probes from the same sample area.
