We congratulate Nusrat Qureshi (EMBL Heidelberg), Mariska Haas (Ulm University), and Lars Dingeldein (Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies), the three recipients of the Early Career FRET Researcher Award at Single-Molecule FRET: The Next 30 Years, held in Tutzing, Germany, from September 21–25, 2026.
The three researchers were recognized for their individual work: Nusrat Qureshi for research on transcription–translation coupling and gene regulation, Mariska Haas for quantitative smFRET studies of low-affinity complexes in nanoholes, and Lars Dingeldein for photon-by-photon analysis of free-energy landscapes and diffusion coefficients from single-molecule FRET.
