Andreas studied Physical and Theoretical Chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt, followed by a research stay at University College London focusing on molecular quantum dynamics. He completed a PhD at the Technical University of Darmstadt, working on atomic and molecular beams, laser spectroscopy, and electric and magnetic deflection experiments. His doctoral research focused on the interplay of geometric and electronic structure of isolated nanoclusters.
Since 2023, Andreas has been working at PicoQuant in Berlin, initially as an Application Specialist for Lasers and Photon Counting, and now as Product Manager for Photon Counting & Timing. In this role, he is involved in the development and positioning of time tagging electronics, single-photon detectors, and related software solutions, with a particular focus on applications in quantum optics and photonics as well as material science.
