Emilio studied Nanotechnology Engineering and later completed a Master’s degree in Optics and Photonics at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany. He also holds an MBA from Quantic School of Business and Technology, where he focused on strategy, operations, and sustainable business practices. He obtained his PhD in Experimental Physics at the University of Potsdam, working on perovskite solar cells with a focus on photophysics, charge carrier dynamics, and device characterization. During his research, he contributed to over 20 scientific publications and gained extensive experience in optical spectroscopy techniques, particularly photoluminescence and time-resolved measurements.
Emilio joined PicoQuant in 2025 as a Product Manager for Materials Science. His work focuses on bridging advanced photonics technologies with real-world applications, ensuring that products deliver both scientific and commercial value. He is responsible for a portfolio of microscopy and spectroscopy solutions and is particularly passionate about enabling cutting-edge research in semiconductors, nanomaterials, and energy materials. He combines a strong technical background with strategic thinking to drive product development and innovation.
