- How far can charge carriers travel before they recombine?
- What determines whether recombination produces light or dissipates energy through other pathways?
- And how can we establish which processes limit a material’s performance?
Join us to connect these questions through carrier diffusion, mobility and radiative versus non-radiative recombination. A short introduction will explore the underlying physics and how to investigate it experimentally, including what steady-state and time-resolved photoluminescence can reveal about carrier behaviour.
From there, we’ll open the floor to discussion. Bring a question from your research, compare explanations with other scientists, or come to discover what these approaches could offer your work. No prior experience with photoluminescence measurements is needed, and contributions from experienced researchers are encouraged.
