New operating software for the PDL 828 “Sepia II”

Version 1.1 features a new GUI and more detailed settings

PicoQuant has released version 1.1 of the "universal laser control software", which now also allows to control the PDL 828 "Sepia II" in addition to the Solea supercontinuum laser. The software features a very clean and easy-to-use graphical user interface (GUI) that adapts to the actual configuration of the connected PDL 828. Different settings can now be stored inside the laser driver allowing a quick change of configurations. The new software version also increases the range of possible internal repetition rates of the oscillator module, which can now be set to nearly 200.000 distinct values between 80 MHz and 760 Hz. Another very useful new feature has been added to the control of the pulse energy of the connected lasers that can now be varied in steps of 0.1 % leading to a much finer control of excitation power.

PicoQuant releases version 2.0 of the SymPhoTime 64 software package for FLIM and FCS

Version 2.0 provides new and outstanding features for time-resolved data acquisition and analysis as well as super-resolution.

PicoQuant has released version 2.0 of its SymPhoTime 64 FLIM and FCS software package. New features include global analysis of FCS and TCSPC curve fitting, which especially improves cell measurements, as well as STED data acquisition and analysis procedures, e.g., gatedSTED, resolution estimation*. An extended TCSPC binning functionality permits faster analysis and binary export of FLIM images. In addition, a newly developed Fast Pattern Matching approach was implemented, which allows to separate two species by lifetime as well as absorption and emission spectra, thereby strongly refining FLIM image analysis.

gated STED increases the resolution of PicoQuant’s MicroTime 200

The gated STED technique improves the resolution of images even more than standard STED without compromising usability

PicoQuant GmbH, specialist in single photon counting applications and fluorescence instrumentation has signed an agreement with the Max Planck Society and the German Cancer Research Center (DKFZ) to use the gated STED technology (gSTED) in the new time-resolved confocal microscope MicroTime 200 STED.

Solea White now available

PicoQuant extends the range of available supercontinuum lasers

The new laser Solea White emits a broadband supercontinuum output between 480 nm and 700 nm from a polarization maintaining single mode fiber with FC/PC connector. The average spectral output of the supercontinuum reaches more than 250 mW at 40 MHz repetition rate, which corresponds to an average spectral density of 0.4 mW/nm. A special feature of the Solea White is the capability to be externally triggered at any repetition rate between 1 MHz and 40 MHz. This unique feature permits synchronization with other lasers for, e.g., multicolor excitation schemes.

New TCSPC system software for the HydraHarp 400

Version 3.0 features a new future proof file format.

The new software version 3.0 has been released and features improvements for stability and performance as well as a new future proof file format. The idea of that file format is to place individual header data items not in a strict file position and order but to tag the items by name, so that future additions do not harm existing software. The new file format will therefore be future proof in terms of maintenance and compatibility across new versions. It is also compatible with the powerful SymPhoTime 64 software.
