The symposium provided not only outstanding and inspiring talks but also excellent opportunities for networking

From May 22 to 24, 2019, PicoQuant held its second international symposium on “Single Photon Based Quantum Technologies” in Berlin. The three day event brought together scientists from various areas of quantum technologies to report on and discuss the latest developments in single-photon detectors and sources, metrology and sensing, correlations and entanglement, communication and QKD, information processing, as well as integrated photonic quantum circuits.

PicoQuant and ZEISS simplify FLIM workflow for LSM Upgrade Kits

New plug-in allows to start FLIM acquisition directly in ZEN imaging software from ZEISS

PicoQuant and ZEISS have released a plug-in for ZEN (blue edition). It is now more convenient to obtain Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM) and Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS) data on a ZEISS Laser Scanning Microscope (LSM) with Upgrade Kit from PicoQuant.

Multidimensional imaging experiments such as z-stacks or time lapse series are now performed in a simple manner: users define and start these measurements in the familiar environment of ZEN imaging software from ZEISS. Time-resolved data is then automatically acquired using the motorized Laser Combining Unit and SymPhoTime 64 software from PicoQuant. After acquisition, the results can be analyzed with the powerful, yet easy to use SymPhoTime tools.

In September 2018, Frederik Siegmann joined PicoQuant as chief marketing officer to pursue a holistic approach including product management, marketing communication, and brand management. New article about the neuromonitor BabyLux

The Neurophotonics Journal has just published a paper by the developers of the hybrid diffuse optical neuromonitor BabyLux. As a partner of the European project BabyLux, PicoQuant's Managing Director Rainer Erdmann is co-author of this paper which gives a thorough characterization about the performance of the device. The neuromonitor has been developed to be employed in neonatal intensive care units for the noninvasive, cot-side monitoring of microvascular cerebral blood flow and blood oxygenation in preterm neonates.

The project goal is to reduce the risk of brain lesions in extremely preterm babies. The core opto-electronic components necessary for this novel instrument are provided by PicoQuant.

MultiHarp 150 is finalist for the Innovation Award of the LASER World of PHOTONICS

The event timer marks a new generation of timing electronics

We are very excited that our MultiHarp 150 has been announced as finalist for the Innovation Award of the LASER World of PHOTONICS. The MultiHarp 150 is one of PicoQuant's latest developments. It is a high-throughput multichannel event timer and TCSPC unit for quantum optical applications. Its extremely fast signal processing leads to an excellent data throughput via USB 3.0 interface.

The LASER World of PHOTONICS trade fair in Munich will take place June 24 to 27, 2019. Visitors will be able to see the MultiHarp 150 at our booth #216, hall B2. Our specialists at the booth will be happy to answer all questions about this great new device.
