Range of available pulsed LEDs extended

New wavelength of 360 nm

The range of available pulsed LEDs of the PLS Series has been extended. The new PLS 360 emits around 360 nm with up to 2 µW average power at 10 MHz repetition rate. These compact LEDs are ideal excitation sources for time-resolved fluorescence spectrometers.

PicoQuant will introduce a new high-power green picosecond pulsed laser head at Photonics West 2012

Besides the green laser head, the German company will introduce two more new developments to the visitors

PicoQuant GmbH will introduce three new products at SPIE Photonics West held January 21 to 26, 2012 in San Francisco, USA: a high-power green picosecond pulsed laser head that provides up to 200 mW average power, a laser system for the generation of nanosecond pulses with programmable pulse shape, and the fastest commercial quantum random number generator (QRNG) available to the market.

PicoQuant releases the fastest commercial quantum random number generator

A new development from the field of quantum physics is now available as a turn-key product

PicoQuant GmbH, specialist in Single Photon Counting Instrumentation has released the fastest photonic quantum random number generator available today. The “PQRNG 150” will be shown to the public for the first time at PicoQuant's booth at Photonics West exhibition in San Francisco, January 21 to 26, 2012. The new quantum random number generator provides turn-key usability, a high bit rate, up to 150 Mbits/s, delivered over USB, and long term statistical data quality. The “PQRNG 150” is based on measuring the arrival times of single photons, governed by the inherent indeterminism of quantum physics.

PicoQuant releases a polarization extension for laser scanning microscopes

The new polarization unit allows to measure fluorescence anisotropy

PicoQuant GmbH has released a polarization extension for its upgrade kit for confocal laser scanning microscopes (LSM). Since several years, time-resolved fluorescence measurements can be performed with commercially available LSM that have been upgraded with a suited upgrade kit. With the new extension, upgraded microscopes can now also perform polarization measurements.

PicoQuant combines optical microscope with atomic force microscope

The synchronized acquisition of fluorescence lifetime and atomic force images makes new investigation schemes feasible

PicoQuant GmbH, specialist in single photon counting applications, announces the successful combination of PicoQuants time-resolved confocal fluorescence microscope MicroTime 200 with Brukers BioScope Catalyst Atomic Force Microscope (AFM). The combination of these two systems enables simultaneous recordings of AFM and optical images of the same sample region and makes new investigation schemes in the field of live cell imaging feasible.
