The event provides an interdisciplinary platform for exchanging experiences and information about latest developments in the field of single photon based quantum technologies.

PicoQuant presents the updated Taiko laser driver with more power and more diodes at Photonics West 2020

Further highlights are the MultiHarp 150 event timer now with programmable deadtime and the high-powered VisUV lasers

During the Photonics West 2020 exhibition, running from February 1-6, 2020 in San Francisco (CA, USA), PicoQuant will showcase the latest models and upgrades for its high-end Taiko PDL M1 picosecond pulsed laser driver, for the high-throughput MultiHarp 150 event timer and TCSPC unit as well as for the VisUV laser platform.

Measure outside of the box with PicoQuant‘s new FluoMic add-on for the FluoTime 300

The recently launched sample mounting unit for the high-end time-resolved fluorescence spectrometer enables remote measurements

From November 4 to 7, 2019, the lecturers and participants of the international course on “Principles and Applications of Time-resolved Fluorescence Spectroscopy” got a first look at PicoQuant’s FluoMic in action. This new add-on brings the accessibility and versatility of the time-resolved fluorescence spectrometer FluoTime 300 to remote samples without requiring any lengthy alignment or coupling procedures.

Joseph S. Broz from the Quantum Economic Development Consortium visits PicoQuant

On Thursday, November 7, Joseph S. Broz (in the middle of the picture), Executive Director and Governing Board Chairman of the United States Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QEDC) visited PicoQuant and the Ferdinand-Braun-Institut, Leibniz-Institut fuer Hoechstfrequenztechnik (FBH). Broz explained the purpose and roadmap of the QEDC which is to foster a robust supply chain and infrastructure for the developing quantum industry in the USA. PicoQuant and the FBH presented their capabilities to provide enabling technologies and R&D ressources for optical quantum technology, which could be beneficial for the consortium members in the near future. "At PicoQuant, we build time-tagging devices that are perfectly suited for many applications in optical quantum technologies," says Rainer Erdmann, Managing Director of PicoQuant.

PicoQuant donates to atmosfair’s energy efficiency project in Rwanda

For PicoQuant, green is more than just the company color: Environmental and social responsibility are part of the company’s core philosophy. “We decided to compensate our CO2 emission produced by our air travel by donating to the climate protection organization atmosfair," says Rainer Erdmann, Managing Director of PicoQuant. For the air travel miles accrued in 2019, PicoQuant donates 6000 EUR to an energy efficiency project in Rwanda, which focuses on providing highly efficient cook stoves. These stoves are assembled in Rwanda with parts sourced locally.
