4th European Short Course on “Time-Resolved Microscopy and Correlation Spectroscopy”

The annual European course by PicoQuant gives an in-depth introduction into the field of time-resolved fluorescence microscopy

4th European Short Course TRMicThe short course on “Time-Resolved Microscopy and Correlation Spectroscopy” is organized by PicoQuant for the fourth time. The scope of the course is to provide an in-depth introduction to principles and applications of time-resolved fluorescence microscopy from a theoretical and experimental point of view. The course will take place from February 14 to 16, 2012 at the science and technology park in Berlin-Adlershof. The registration deadline is January 15, 2012.

The three day event includes lectures of renowned scientists in the field of fluorescence microscopy as well as hands-on experimentation on instruments provided by market-leading companies including Leica, Nikon, Olympus and PicoQuant.

Topics covered:

Lectures are given by Christian Eggeling from the MPI for Biophysical Chemistry in Göttingen, Jörg Enderlein and Fred Wouters from the University of Göttingen, Mark Hink from the University of Amsterdam, Paul French from the Imperial College London and Rainer Erdmann, Managing Director of PicoQuant.

After the lectures in the morning, the participants have the opportunity to get hands-on training on different confocal microscopes capable of time-resolved data acquisition for FLIM and FCS  in the afternoon.
