New TCSPC System Software Version 2.3 for PicoHarp 300

New version includes a real-time correlator for Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy

A new data acquisition software is now available for the PicoHarp 300 Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting system from PicoQuant. The new version 2.3 provides a new real-time correlator for Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy that calculates two autocorrelations and the cross correlation between two photon streams simultaneously, making best use of current multiprocessor systems.

Young Investigator Award at Single Molecule Session during SPIE/ Photonics West

A specially dedicated award worth 750 USD was sponsored by PicoQuant

Between January 24 and January 30, 2009, SPIE organized a special symposium about „Biomedical Spectroscopy, Microscopy, and Imaging“ as part of North America's Largest Photonics Event („Photonics West“). The „Single Molecule Spectroscopy and Imaging“ conference was surely one of the highlights of this symposium, and about 150 scientists enjoyed more than 40 presentations.

Linux Programming Library for TCSPC System HydraHarp 400

The Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting system from PicoQuant can be used under the GNU Linux operating system

A programmer's library is now available supporting the HydraHarp 400 Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting system from PicoQuant under the GNU Linux operating system. The library is fully API compatible with the corresponding library for Windows. It comes as a shared library supporting all features of the HydraHarp 400, including the instrument's Time-Tagged Time-Resolved (TTTR) mode, were all photons or other events are captured as precisely timed individual records.

New Multichannel TCSPC System “HydraHarp 400”

Device features a modular design with up to four identical input channels and a common sync channel

PicoQuant announces a new multichannel Picosecond Event Timer and Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting system with USB interface. The new device is based on a novel time digitizer with 1 picosecond resolution, a processing rate of 12.5 million counts per second per channel, a very short dead time and an extremely low differential non-linearity.

Picosecond Pulsed Diode Laser at 485 nm (turquiose)

New laser head is ideal for exciting fluorescent proteins like GFP and widely used fluorescent dyes

PicoQuant GmbH announces the release of the long-awaited 485 nm picosecond pulsed diode laser head. The availability of this new wavelength opens the door for entirely new applications in bioanalytics, biochemistry, genetics, semiconductor characterisation and quality control. The new laser head is ideal for exciting fluorescent proteins like GFP and widely used fluorescent dyes such as Fluorescein, Atto 488 or Alexa 488 and fills an urgent demand for alternatives to frequency doubled solid state lasers or argon-ion lasers in applications like Fluorescence Microscopy.
