Science in Your Lab - Vienna 2019
Science in Your Lab
“Time-resolved Fluorescence Workshop”
17 January 2019, Vienna, Austria

Description
We are very excited to announce that the next stop for our "science in your lab" workshop series will be in Vienna, Austria. This workshop is jointly organized by scientists at the Advanced Microscopy Facility at the Vienna Biocenter Core Facilities (VBCF) and PicoQuant. The main topic is how one can assess interactions between molecules both in cells and in vitro using Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging Microscopy (FLIM) and Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS). The event’s highlight is a demonstration of our most recent upgrade for the MicroTime 200 time-resolved confocal microscope system - rapidFLIM. This novel method for lifetime imaging at speeds close those of videos, which is excellent for studying fast and dynamic processes in live cells. Such high imaging speeds are achieved by combining our FLIMbee galvo scanner with our new MultiHarp 150 Time-Correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC) unit. The workshop consists of talks given by leading experts using PicoQuant solutions as well as hands-on sessions. The practical sessions will cover various aspects such as system alignment, data acquisition, and analysis
PicoQuant has a long and successful history and is well known for different kind of components for time-resolved measurements, such as picosecond laser and timing electronic from ps to ms. With the integration of this deep knowledge and the aim to go always one step further we developed new great instrumentation for time-resolved spectroscopy and microscopy.
