Fluorescence Lifetime and Single Molecule Detection
As a company leading in Single Photon Counting applications, our scientific work is centered around time resolved fluorescence spectroscopy. Photons emitted by molecules in response to excitation by light convey valuable information about these molecules. Where traditional methods analyse the wavelength of emitted photons, we gain additional information over these processes by including time parameters in the analysis. Quite generally we work on the introduction of laser-fluorimetry to biological sciences, chemical analytics and materials sciences. One of our special fields of interest is single molecule detection (SMD). We invite all researchers working in the field of Single Molecule Spectroscopy with Laser Induced Fluorescence to our International Workshop on "Single Molecule Detection and Ultrasensitive Analysis in the Life Sciences" to be held at PicoQuant in Berlin Adlershof.
Bibliography
Please visit our bibliography. You will find a list of papers mentioning PicoQuant devices and/or written by us. The references are sorted by year of publishing and journal/book name; they are linked to the website of the appropriate publisher. If you would like to see your publication included here, please send us an e-mail to infopicoquant.com containing the appropriate citation.
Fluorescence Courses
The fluorescence course held first time in 2003 is intended for individuals wishing an in-depth introduction to the principles of fluorescence spectroscopy and its applications to the Life Sciences. Attendees are typically professionals who are using or intend to use fluorescence in their research. Most attendees have some knowledge of fluorescence, typically in a specialized area. However, also individuals from totally different areas as well as from industry get the opportunity to enter this exciting field in a very effective way and benefit especially from the experimental section.
