Antibunching measurements
This example shows antibunching measurements of a highly diluted solution of Atto 655 (0.1 nM) in water using pulsed laser excitation. The measurements were performed with a
MicroTime 200 time-resolved confocal microscope equipped with two
PDM SPAD modules in a standard Hanbury Brown Twiss (HBT) setup. The signal from one detector was delayed by approx. 95 ns using cable delays in order to also see the negative time delay information. The sample was excited by a
LDH-P-C-635 pulsed diode laser driven by a
PDL 800-B at 20 MHz repetition rate. Data acquisition was performed using the
PicoHarp 300 TCSPC module.
The screenshot shows the results from the antibunching measurements using the standard data acquisition software of the PicoHarp 300. The reduced height of the signal peak around 95 ns due to antibunching can clearly be seen.
Even more information can be extracted from these type of measurements by using the T2 mode of the PicoHarp 300.
