PicoQuant to hold 23rd International Single Molecule Workshop

Researchers from all over the world meet in Berlin to discuss and present recent developments

PicoQuant will host the 23rd International Workshop on “Single Molecule Spectroscopy and Super-resolution Microscopy in the Life Sciences” from September 13 to 15, 2017 in Berlin, Germany. This yearly organized event brings together users and developers from diverse fields such as Physics, Chemistry, as well as Biology. The workshop provides an interdisciplinary platform for experienced and young scientists to share their research and developments in ultrasensitive optical detection down to the single molecule level and beyond the classical diffraction limit.

Eight distinguished researchers, including Nobel laureate W. E. Moerner, will present their recent work on ultrasensitive spectroscopy in a series of invited talks. The workshop program is rounded out by contributed presentations as well as a poster session. A welcome reception and workshop dinner provide participants with the opportunity for in-depth discussions between invited speakers and other attendees. This year’s invited speakers are Nobel laureate W. E. Moerner, Madhavi Krishnan, Dagmar Klostermeier, Achilles Kapanidis, Niek van Hulst, Enrico Gratton, Bianxiao Cui, and Julie S. Biteen.

PicoQuant encourages young scientists to present their work and will award the “Best Student Talk”  with a special prize of 750 Euro. Undergraduate and graduate students are invited to submit their contributions until May 31, 2017.

Abstracts can be submitted until May 31, 2017.
Registration is open until August 15, 2017.
