PicoQuant presents laser innovations at CLEO 2017

Highlights include yellow emitting pulsed laser and an expanded line-up for the VisIR/VisUV pulsed laser platform

logo CLEO 2017PicoQuant will showcase its latest laser innovations at CLEO 2017 in San Jose, CA, USA from May 14-19, 2017. The highlights at this years exhibition include the fiber amplified laser head LDH-P-FA-560 and several new modules from the VisIR/VisUV platform series.

The LDH-P-FA-560 delivers 560 nm light with average optical powers of more than 3 mW at a repetition rate of 40 MHhz and pulse widths down to 40 ps. This new laser is optimally suited for exciting molecular probes commonly used in life science or biology, including fluorescent proteins, such as mCherry, RFP, or DsRed as well as dyes like CY3 or Atto565. The characteristics of this new laser head also provide opportunities for applications in bioanalytics, biochemistry, genetics, semiconductor characterization, and quality control.

The pulsed laser modules VisUV-1064, VisUV-532-HP, VisIR-1530, and VisIR-1530-HP round out the VisIR/VisUV platform line-up. The new VisUV-1064 emits picosecond pulsed laser light at 1064 nm with an average optical power of more than 1 W, while the VisUV-532-HP provides high-powered sub nanosecond pulses at 532 nm with an average optical power of up to 750 mW. The VisIR-1530 and its -HP counterpart provide light pluses at 1531 nm with optical powers of up to 750 mW or 1.3 W and pulse width of 70 or 500 ps, respectively.

These high powered green and NIR models in the VisIR/VisUV platform can be used for application requiring higher laser powers such as, e.g., LIDAR or in-situ Raman Spectroscopy.
