New EasyTau software

The new software version supports measurements with an integrating sphere and the Solea supercontinuum laser

Screenshot Easy Tau softwarePicoQuant has released a new software version for the FluoTime 300 spectrometer. The EasyTau software now supports measurements with a recently developed integrating sphere and the Solea supercontinuum laser.

The integrating sphere has been thoroughly designed and calibrated and is able to reproduce published literature data of selected quantum yield standards such as Rhodamin 6G, Coumarin 153, and Ru(bpy)3.The complete workflow for quantum yield measurements is included in the EasyTau software as a dedicated measurement wizard. This special feature makes precise quantum yield measurements possible in a few minutes, even for untrained users.

The Solea supercontinuum laser can now also be directly controlled from the EasyTau software. The wavelength tunability and the variable repetition rates of the Solea laser, combined with the short pulse widths allow to perform excitation scans as well as fluorescence lifetime measurements over a broad spectral and temporal range with only a single laser.

The FluoTime 300 is a fully automated fluorescence lifetime spectrometer with steady-state option. Its user-friendly software EasyTau allows researchers to focus on their samples without concerning themselves finding the best intrument settings for their experiments. This makes it an ideal instrument for highly trained specialists as well as for occasional users.
