The recent years have seen a vastly increasing interest in the detection and spectroscopy of single molecules. Especially in genetics, molecular and cell biology, as well as in high-throughput screening and diagnostics, Single Molecule Detection (SMD) under biologically native conditions became an important research tool. The following list shall give the researcher a survey of currently recommended events.
Upcoming SMD events:
- July 15 - 20, 2012Single Molecule Approaches To Biology, Gordon Research Conferences, West Dover, Vermont, USAThis conference aims to provide an interdisciplinary forum for biologists, physicists, chemists and engineers who have developed single molecule methodologies that can be readily applied to solve important biological problems.
- September 5 - 7, 201218th International Workshop on "Single Molecule Spectroscopy and Ultra Sensitive Analysis in the Life Sciences", Berlin, GermanyThe aim of this workshop is to provide an interdisciplinary platform for users as well as developers from Physics, Chemistry and Biology to share their experience, exchange information and report their recent findings and developments in the field of ultrasensitive optical detection and microscopy down to the single-molecule level.
