Aims and Purpose
The workshop is a 2 1/2-day event which focusses on latest developments in single molecule spectroscopy and fluorescence lifetime imaging. The topics covered during this workshop include basic single molecule detection techniques, fluorescence microscopy, Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM), Förster Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) and Fluorescence Correlation Spectroscopy (FCS). The workshop includes lectures as well as hands-on experiments. As the space is limited, please register as soon as possible.
This workshop is intended for researchers interested in learning about new optical microscopy techniques / methods and single molecule spectroscopy. It is intended for all levels of expertise, including graduate students, technicians and professional researchers. Basic knowledge about light microscopy is beneficial, but not necessary to attend this workshop.
The aim of this workshop is to stimulate discussion in this field and give an introduction to single molecule detection (SMD) and Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging (FLIM).
