Exhibitions and Shows Exhibitions, Shows, Conferences,...
Upcoming exhibitions, shows and conferences throughout the world.
Next event: February 14 - 16, 4th European short course on "Time-Resolved Microscopy and Correlation Spectroscopy", Berlin, Germany
Special event: March 28, Open Talk by Martin Stevens (NIST, USA): "Superconducting nanowire single-photon detectors: low timing jitter and high-order photon correlations", Berlin, Germany
Single Molecule Workshop Single Molecule Workshop
Since 1995, PicoQuant organizes the annual Single Molecule Spectroscopy (SMS) Workshop, which brings together the top researchers in the field. With this event, we continue to encourage the exchange of knowledge and new ideas between the experts in SMS, interested scientists from other fields and potential users from Life Science industry.
Next workshop: September 5 - 7, 2012, Berlin, Germany
Time-resolved fluorescence course Fluorescence Course
The European short course on "Principles and Applications of Time-resolved Fluorescence" is intended for individuals wishing an in-depth introduction to the principles of fluorescence spectroscopy and its applications to the Life Sciences. The course is held in cooperation with Prof. J.R. Lakowicz from the Center of Fluorescence Spectroscopy (CFS) in Baltimore and consists of lectures as well as instrumentation and software hands-on training.
Next course: October 29 - November 1, 2012, Berlin, Germany
Logo TRFMIc Course on Time-resolved Microscopy and Correlation Spectroscopy
The European short course on "Time-resolved Microscopy and Correlation Spectroscopy" is intended for individuals wishing an in-depth introduction to the principles of time-resolved fluorescence microscopy and its applications to the Life Sciences. This 3-day event consists of lectures as well as instrumentation and software hands-on training.
Next course: February 14 - 16, 2012, Berlin, Germany
SymPhoTime Scripting Day SymPhoTime Training Day
One day before the Course on Time-resolved Microscopy and Correlation Spectroscopy, PicoQuant hosts a SymPhoTime Training Day. The goal of this event is to bring together users of the SymPhoTime software in order to discuss their problems and applications, to present new features of the software and give a hands-on training for selected problems.
Next training day: February 13, 2012, Berlin, Germany
Workshop in the USA International Workshops or Courses
The international workshops or courses are organized by PicoQuant GmbH along with a local research institute. With these workshops PicoQuant is continuing to promote single molecule and fluorescence lifetime measurements and stimulates discussion in this field between people having different scientific backgrounds.
Upcoming SMD events

Upcoming SMD events
The recent years have seen a vastly increasing interest in the detection and spectroscopy of single molecules. Especially in genetics, molecular and cell biology, as well as in high-throughput screening and diagnostics, Single Molecule Detection (SMD) under biologically native conditions became an important research tool.

Award at BIOS Young Investigator Award at BIOS / Photonics West
Since 2007 PicoQuant GmbH awards a "Young Investigator Award" at the session on "Single Molecule Spectroscopy and Imaging" during the BIOS / Photonics West show. Young scientists (age 35 or below) are encouraged to participate in this best paper competition which offers a cash award worth 750 USD. Participants must be both the primary author and presenter of an accepted abstract to be eligible.
